England surpasses 300

Despite a rocky start at 112 for 5 and then 245 for 7, England eventually reached the 300-run milestone in Yashasvi Jaiswal's final over of the day. Already, the eighth-wicket combination has added 57 runs to the total. India lost out on a clean lbw dismissal of Ollie Robinson, a decision they were sure about, as a result of their liberal use of DRS in the morning session.

Joe Root, however, stole the show today as he scored his 31st Test century—his tenth against India—to take the lead. Throughout his innings, Root demonstrated his flawless batting approach, responding to each delivery with finesse and without resorting to preconceived notions.

In the first session, the pitch behaved strangely, showing cracks and allowing extensive seam movement, uneven bounce, and turn before becoming quieter. Ben Foakes and Root together constituted England's most significant partnership of the series. This promises to be another exciting day of cricket in the Test series.

Bright and early tomorrow, we are looking forward to your company.
